Highlands Day 2015, the Issaquah Highlands’ neighborhood carnival, took place Saturday at Village Green Park.

Only minutes after an MC announced Highlands Day’s opening parade had commenced, the celebration was hit by a fierce bout of rain related to a regional summer storm. But the setback didn’t last long — rain gave way to intense sunshine before settling into calm gray skies.
