The city of Issaquah joined the city of Sammamish in collecting food during a month-long food drive throughout the Eastside.

The Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank is collecting donations from three Issaquah locations, two Sammamish locations and one Klahanie store during the Eastside’s Month of Concern for the Hungry.

Volunteers will collect food at local supermarkets Sept. 19 and 26, as well as Oct. 10.

A list of the most needed items — such as canned goods and toiletries — can be found at issaquahwa.gov/documentcenter/view/3643.

The Month of Concern, also known as the Mayors’ Month of Concern, is a regional food drive organized by the Eastside Human Services Forum. More information can be found at eastsideforum.org/fooddrive.
