The blotter consists of officers’ accounts of crimes and incidents in the city of Issaquah. Anyone arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

September 11

BIKE: A bicycle was reported stolen from the 900 block of Lake Drive at a loss of $2,300.

SITTING DUCKS: Responding to a loitering report on the 100 block of Northeast Juniper Street, an officer arrested a 51-year-old Montana man for two outstanding misdemeanor warrants.

September 12

DUI: At 12:31 a.m., an officer responded to a traffic accident on the 18100 block of Northwest Village Park Drive. The officer determined the accident, which involved a juvenile, may have been caused by driving under the influence. The case was forwarded to the juvenile prosecutor.

HAT TRICK: An officer arrested a 24-year-old Sammamish man at the intersection of Northwest Firwood Boulevard and Indigo Place Northwest for a hit-and-run collision, driving under the influence and driving while license suspended in the third degree.

PROWL: A wallet and its contents, valued at $300, were reported stolen from a Jeep Cherokee on the 2300 block of Northwest Harmony Way.

September 13

ALCOHOL: Police arrested an 18-year-old Issaquah man for an alcohol offense on the 300 block of Rainier Boulevard South.

K•B BANDIT: A resident of the 900 block of 10th Place Northeast reported she had discovered a young child playing with stored toys in her garage after leaving the door open. Some toys appeared to be missing after the incident. An officer suggested the woman speak with the child’s parents.

TRESPASSING: A 53-year-old Texas man was arrested for trespassing on the 100 block of Front Street South.

AUTO THEFT: A black 1991 Mazda B2600 pickup valued at $1,000 was reported stolen from the 600 block of Front Street North.

September 14

PROWLER PINCHED: A 37-year-old Snoqualmie man was arrested for vehicle prowling on the 600 block of Wildwood Boulevard Southwest.

SLEEPING: An officer responded to a vehicle in a parking lot on the 700 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard which had been reported running for eight hours, from 2:30 to 10:30 a.m. The driver stated he worked for Darigold and had fallen asleep in the car before driving home to Fall City.

OUCH: An Issaquah High School student caught a finger in a plastic ring which began to cut flesh. Eastside Fire and Rescue personnel were called and a first responder was able to cut the ring.

50 SHADES OF EMBARRASSMENT: A man came into the Issaquah Police Department for assistance removing a handcuff that had become stuck during a sex act.

September 15

FRAUD: A resident reported receiving a phone call from a person claiming to be collecting a debt on behalf of the Issaquah Police Department and IRS. Police confirmed the call was fraudulent.

September 16

PROWL: A drill, iPad and briefcase, valued at $950, were reported stolen from a Ford F-150 parked on the 2100 block of Shy Bear Way Northwest.

DEER: A deer was hit by a car at the intersection of Front Street SOuth and Second Avenue Southeast and died at the scene. The car sustained minor damage to a front headlight and bumper.

September 17

YELLER: An officer responded to a man yelling at cars on the 800 block of Front Street North. The man said he was looking for people who had ditched him. The officer asked him to stop yelling at cars and the man agreed.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: A window was reported damaged on the 400 block of Rainier Boulevard North.

LOOSE SHEEP: Police received a report of loose sheep on the 500 block of Southeast Lewis Street. Dispatch contacted the owner, whom was on the way from Marysville to attempt to catch the animals.
