Issaquah earns first place at KingCo 4A tournament
The Issaquah Eagles wrestling team nabbed first place at the Class 4A KingCo tourney, compiling 209 team points on Feb. 6. Mount Si captured second place with 186 team points. Eagles grapplers earning first place at the tourney were Stevie Solusod (126), Gunnar Starren (138), Kai Hapke (160) and Chance Gunter (182). Eastlake wrestler William Galarpe took first place in the 132-pound weight division.
Skyline nabs third place at the KingCo tourney
The Skyline Spartans wrestling team took third place at the Class 4A KingCo tourney, compiling 165.5 team points on Feb. 6. Skyline wrestler Kenta Despe (113) earned first place in his weight class.
Wrestling club kicks off training sessions in March
Jake Crawford (Eastlake High School) and Gus Kiss (Skyline High School) of the Sammamish Plateau Wrestling Club are hosting training sessions for wrestlers between kindergarten and 12th grade on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning on March 1 at Eastlake High School in Sammamish. The kindergarten through sixth grade sessions will take place at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Seventh through 12th graders sessions will take place at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Eastside Catholic wins fourth matchup in a row
The Eastside Catholic Crusaders defeated Chief Sealth 60-39 on Feb. 5. The Crusaders finished the 2015-16 regular season with an overall record of 8-8.
Wolves win third straight contest, defeat Redmond
The Eastlake Wolves defeated the Redmond Mustangs 56-47 in the final game of the regular season on Feb. 5. The Wolves finished the 2015-16 regular season with an overall record of 14-6.
Skyline conquers Issaquah in showdown between rivals
The Skyline Spartans earned a 59-55 win against the Issaquah Eagles on Feb. 5 in Issaquah. Skyline finished the regular season with an overall record of 9-9 and Issaquah finished with an overall record of 10-7.

Mustangs defeat Wolves in season finale on hardwood
The Redmond Mustangs cruised to a 51-37 win against the Eastlake Wolves in the final game of the regular season on Feb. 5. The Wolves finished the 2015-16 regular season with an overall record of 5-15.
Eastside Catholic defeats Chief Sealth by double digits
The Eastside Catholic Crusaders won their third straight contest with a convincing 82-67 win against Chief Sealth on Feb. 5. The Crusaders finished the 2015-16 regular season with an overall record of 11-8.
BASEBALL
Goucher to host baseball clinic in Bellevue region
Former professional baseball player Steve Goucher will host a baseball skills and drills clinic from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 14, Feb. 21 and Feb. 28 at the Foster Family Fieldhouse at Hidden Valley Park in Bellevue.
