The city of Issaquah will hold a community meeting regarding the Talus community at 6 p.m. Monday night, in City Hall South.

The meeting will see Issaquah police provide safety tips for residents in light of recent package thefts and thefts from vehicles.

Additionally, city staff will provide an update on land movement at Talus Parcel Nine, a development site adjacent to Northwest Talus Drive near Shangri-La Way.

Construction at Parcel Nine was stopped Nov. 13 after a slow-moving landslide buckled the road. City staff and contractors immediately took measures to counteract the movement, such as reinstalling the area retention wall and drilling dewatering wells, and have spent the subsequent months monitoring the ground for further movement.

The meeting is expected to last until 8 p.m. City Hall South is located at 135 E. Sunset Way in Issaquah.
