Stephanie Ispas, of Sammamish, served as a page in early March in the Washington State House of Representatives with Rep. Patty Kuderer (D-Clyde Hill).

Pages perform a wide variety of responsibilities, from presenting the flags to distributing amendments on the House floor, according to a press release.

In addition to contributing to the efficient operation of the Legislature, pages receive daily civics instruction, draft their own bills, and participate in mock committee hearings.

Ispas is a student at Stella Schola Middle School, in Redmond and practices Taekwondo, plays piano and enjoys reading, art and running.
