Sammamish Community and Aquatic Center/YMCA grand opening, Rig-A-Palooza tomorrow | Slideshow

The Sammamish Community and Aquatic Center/YMCA’s grand opening is April 30, coinciding with Rig-A-Palooza. Both start at 10 a.m.

The grand opening takes place in the center’s gym at 831 228th Ave. SE.

The building opened to legacy and charter members last week; photos in the slideshow were taken April 19.

Rig-A-Palooza, an event showcasing vehicles such as fire engines or utility trucks, invites children and families out for an afternoon discovering how the city of Sammamish keeps its “city safe, clean and FUN-ctioning,” according to a city announcement.

The event runs until 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sammamish Commons Plaza, 801 228th Ave.SE.
