The blotter consists of Sammamish police officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in the city. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

July 29

FORGERY CHECKS: Residents from the 21500 block of SE 32nd St. reported their son, who has a substance abuse problem, stole their checks and made them out to himself to buy drugs.

July 30

SILENT ALARM: Two unknown suspects were caught on a security camera at the Town Center construction site near the 22700 block of SE Fourth St.

Aug. 1

DRIVING WITH SUSPENDED LICENSE: A driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license during a traffic stop near the 25600 block of Issaquah-Fall City Road.

Aug. 4

VANDALISM: A custodian at Samantha Smith Elementary in the 23300 block of NE 14th St. reported damage to an outdoor cement planter and eggs thrown at the back of the school.

THEFT: A resident in the 24100 block of SE 30 St. reported items taken from their garage and parked vehicle.

CAR PROWL: A Hampton Woods resident near the 2100 block of 223rd Place NE reported a theft from his unlocked vehicle parked in his driveway.

HIT AND RUN: A woman reported a large scratch along the driver’s side of her vehicle while parked at the YMCA located at 800 228th Ave. SE.

IDENTITY THEFT: A resident from the 25400 block of SE 42nd Place reported an unknown person opened a Best Buy line of credit in their name.

ARREST WARRANT: A man stopped for a traffic violation near the 26800 block of Issaquah-Fall City Road was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant and booked into King County Jail.

Aug. 5

FRAUD: A Trossachs neighborhood resident near the 900 block of 272 Place SE reported an unknown person attempted to open a USAA account using her information.

IDENTITY THEFT: A resident of the Summerwalk Apartments near the 3800 block of Klahanie Drive SE reported that an unknown suspect opened a Verizon account in their name and defaulted on the account.

STOLEN LICENSE PLATES: License plates were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in front of a private residence near the 400 block of 237 Ave. SE.

Aug. 6

FOUND PROPERTY: An Amazon shipping box was found on the corner of Northeast 55th Street and 187th Avenue Northeast.

Aug. 7

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: A Honda ST90 located in the Pine Lake Village parking lot near the 2900 block of 228th Ave. SE had a BMW R100 license plate on it. There was no record for the VIN on the ST90.
