Skyline conquers Eastlake in rivalry showdown

The Skyline Spartans earned a 31-14 victory against the Eastlake Wolves in the first round of the Class 4A state playoffs on Nov. 11 at Eastlake High School in Sammamish. Skyline (9-2) will host the Camas Papermakers in the Class 4A quarterfinals at 3 p.m. on Nov. 19 at Skyline High School in Sammamish. Eastlake finished the 2016 season with an overall record of 7-4.

Skyline clinches berth in the semifinals

The Skyline Spartans cruised to a 3-1 victory against the Jackson Timberwolves in the Class 4A state soccer quarterfinals on Nov. 12 at Skyline High School in Sammamish. The undefeated Spartans (14-0-4) will face the Camas Papermakers in the Class 4A semifinals at 6 p.m. on Nov. 18 at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup.

VOLLEYBALL

Issaquah competes at the Class 4A state tournament

The Issaquah Eagles went 0-2 at the Class 4A state tournament in Kennewick on Nov. 11. Bellarmine Prep defeated Issaquah 3-1 (25-7, 23-25, 25-23, 25-15) in the tournament opener. Graham Kapowsin defeated Issaquah 3-2 (25-12, 23-25, 25-22, 19-25, 15-13) in a loser-out contest on Nov. 11. The Eagles finished the 2016 season with an overall record of 13-5.
