Issaquah Eagles grappler Dean Pearson, right, earned second place in the 182-pound weight class at the Class 4A Region II wrestling tournament on Feb. 11 at Skyline High School. Pearson will compete in the Class 4A Mat Classic state wrestling tournament on Feb. 17 at the Tacoma Dome.

The Skyline Spartans wrestling team captured fourth place at the Class 4A Region II wrestling tournament, compiling 80 team points on Feb. 11 at Skyline High School in Sammamish. The Issaquah Eagles finished in seventh place with 61.5 points. Eastlake finished in eighth place with 45 points.

Skyline grapplers advancing to the Mat Classic Class 4A state wrestling tournament consisted of Kenta Despe (113), Cole Turner (113), Scott Huff (138), Nick Beatty (195) and Matt Oss (220). Eagles’ wrestlers punching a ticket to the state tournament were William Tickman (120), Kaleb Solusod (160) and Dean Pearson (182). Eastlake athletes advancing to the state tournament were Rogan Kopper (170), Noah Morse (182) and Eric Plummer (220).
