Thief tries to start car with fake key | Sammamish Police Blotter

The blotter consists of officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in the city of Sammamish. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Feb. 12

Look who’s stalking: At 11:20 a.m., a woman met with police at the Sammamish Police Department on 228th Avenue Southeast to discuss her ex-boyfriend possibly stalking her. They had separated a year ago and there had been a no-contact order in place for six months. The woman said that her ex parked outside of a restaurant and a business next door for hours.

Feb. 17

You’re grounded: A juvenile female caused a disturbance at 11:01 p.m. inside her parents’ house on 233rd Place Northeast. She caused damage under $1,500 to her parents’ property.

Feb. 20

Somebody’s watching me: Vandalism was found at Samantha Smith Elementary School on Northeast 14th Street at 8:45 a.m. Someone had used gold spray paint to write, “I see you.”

Clueless criminals: A person entered a vehicle parked on 249th Avenue Southeast at 10:30 a.m. and attempted to start the car with a fake key.

Feb. 21

The FBI’s most wanted: Police checked up on a man at 3:26 a.m. who was standing in a parking lot off of Southeast Klahanie Boulevard. The man said that he was depressed and that he believes the FBI is after him.

Feb. 23

Runaway: A father left his home on 243rd Avenue Southeast at 1:39 p.m. after causing a disturbance. He took off on foot in near-freezing temperatures, taking his children with him.

Feb. 25

Taking steps: Police met with a resident of a home on Southeast 31st Place at 9:45. The woman had been standing on the stairs for hours each day for the past few days. She said that she had hardly eaten, slept or had any fluids in the past week. Police noted that she seemed fearful, confused and paranoid.
