Congratulations to Eastside Catholic High School senior Angela Lattanzio, who was named by the Rotary Club of Sammamish as a Student of the Month for February.

Lattanzio was recognized for excelling her language studies – Spanish is a particular passion. However she managed to keep excellent grades in her other classes too – she takes AP Physics “even though it is incredibly challenging and, more so, frustrating at times,” maintains a a 3.76 GPA and has made first honors every semester since beginning high school. The well-rounded senior is also involved in student leadership and sports.

Lattanzio is still trying to decide between the very different careers of civil engineering and nursing – testimony to her wide range of interests and abilities.

“I love to help people and comfort them when they are having a hard time and I feel like if I were a nurse I would have many opportunities to do so,” she said.
