For the second consecutive year, the Lake Washington School District and Lake Washington Education Association have agreed to postpone teacher contract negotiations for another year.

The decision will extend the current collective bargaining agreement through August 2013. The contract was originally negotiated for September 2008 through August 2011, but was extended last year due to the uncertainty of the state economy.

Lake Washington schools serve students in the Sammamish area.
