Creekside Elementary needs a mascot

Published 8:12 am Wednesday, January 13, 2010

Now that the Issaquah School District’s newest school, Creekside Elementary, has a name, it needs a mascot and school colors.

Similar to the “Name that School” game school district officials held last year, they are now launching a “Name that Mascot” contest.

The contest is open to all students who will attend Creekside Elementary School.

“We’re looking for an awe-inspiring mascot,” a school district press release said. “It can be anything from an animal to famous people past or present, or impressive symbols, such as comets or rockets.

If you have an idea for our school mascot and colors, the school district would love to hear from you.

The deadline for suggestions is Feb. 3.

E-mail your name, address, phone number, and your mascot and color suggestions to newschoolmascot@issaquah.wednet.edu

Or you can mail/deliver a note with your name, address, phone number and suggestions to Principal Robin Earl, c/o Issaquah School District Administration, 565 NW Holly Street, Issaquah, WA 98027.
