Eastside Catholic’s School-based enterprise was recently named one of five school stores in the United States to earn Bronze Level Certification from DECA.

There were 187 total SBE entries across the country. The students who worked on the certification were Taylor Knott and Anna Groven, with the assistance of advisor Ronda Patrick.

The store at Eastside Catholic has only been in operation for one year.

School stores can be certified at three levels: Bronze, Silver or Gold. In order to apply for the certification, SBEs must submit extensive documentation showing how they have achieved set standards that are outlined in the certification guidelines. After the documentation is submitted, a review committee evaluates the documentation todetermine which level of certification has been achieved.
