Sen. Mark Mullet

I am supporting Mark Mullet for the Washington state Senate. Mark has worked on issues that are important to Issaquah.

In the session before last, Mark focused on two sections of I-90 that cause significant impacts to Issaquah. He supported the funding for extra capacity lanes on I-90 between Issaquah and Bellevue that should be done by the end of 2017. This section is a daily back up in both directions, and this project should ease that congestion.

Mark also helped to secure funding in the transportation package to redo a serious bottleneck at I-90 and SR-18. Issaquah is desperately dependent on these east King County highway improvements to provide options to southeast King County residents to access I-90. As these areas outside of Issaquah have grown, and will continue to grow to the southeast or Issaquah, congestion on local Issaquah roads has become a crisis between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday. Continued support for the improvement of SR 18 is critical, and Mark has shown he understands this and will fight for it.

Lastly, as a park lover and outdoor enthusiast, I appreciate that Mark has shown his dedication to funding park improvements at Lake Sammamish State Park. This beautiful state park may be one of the most accessible to citizens in the state, since it is located within the populated urban area of west King County. Recent park projects are protecting the environmentally sensitive areas, creating new and exciting park features and promoting outdoors for all program planning. So many thanks to Mark for his support of this amazing park.

Vote for Mark Mullet for Senate. He has served us so well.
