Memorial Day ceremony set in Issaquah

Citizens are invited to salute veterans' sacrifices and service at 10 a.m. May 30 at the Issaquah's Memorial Day ceremony.

Citizens are invited to salute veterans’ sacrifices and service at 10 a.m. May 30 at the Issaquah’s Memorial Day ceremony.

The event will take place at Lower Hillside Cemetery, 555 W. Sunset Way.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3436 is hosting the event, with keynote speaker and Liberty High School Junior Naval ROTC instructor Cmdr. Dan Joslin.

Liberty High ROTC members will present colors and a 21-gun salute at the ceremony.

The event is open and free to the public; there will be light refreshments.

In the case of inclement weather, the event will be held at the Issaquah Community Center, 301 Rainier Blvd. S.
