Sammamish hires new public works director

Steve Leniszewski began work as the new Sammamish public works director on May 2. His annual salary is $142,211.

Before joining the city, he worked as the city of Duvall’s public work director from July 2015. From 2006 to July 2015, he was the Duvall public works director and city administrator.

He was a Duvall engineer from November 2004 to September 2006.

The city of Sammamish’s former public works director, Laura Philpot, left for a position in Maple Valley at the end of June 2015. Between then and now, the city has been contracting out for an interim public works director.
