With the power back on in most areas, Sammamish Plateau Water and Sewer District has lifted its request for voluntary conservation.

The SPWSD asked residents to limit their water usage Thursday when the operation of 11 of its water facilities and 15 sewer lift locations were interrupted due to power outages.

The district kept its facilities operating through the use of backup generators, but the loss of power and communication posed challenges for the continuity of operation of vital water and sewer service facilities.

There are a few small areas still without power in our service territory.

Customers without power who are on a sewer grinder pump system should continue to minimize water and toilet use until the power is restored at their homes.
