The Issaquah Chamber of Commerce’s Hops and Shops Winter Beer Tasting Festival, originally scheduled for the evening of Friday, Feb. 10, has been cancelled due to weather.
The festival, which has been an annual event since 2013, gives attendees the chance to try beers from micro-breweries throughout Washington while perusing the shops of Gilman Village.
The chamber said that with all of the snow, wind and rain that this week has brought, ticket sales were too low to hold the event as planned.
The chamber looks forward to its summer beer tasting event, the Beat the Heat Summer Brews Fest, which will take place on Friday, July 21 at Gilman Village. Chamber Festivals Director Brian Twiggs said there are quite a few new surprises in store for the summer festival, which will be in its second year.
