Issaquah gears up for a Fourth of July Celebration

The Fourth of July Heritage Day Celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Greater Issaquah Chamber of Commerce invites locals to bring their family down and join in some “good ol’ fashioned fun” on July 4 for the “Down Home 4th of July and Heritage Day” festivities.

This is a free, family friendly, community event hosted by the Greater Issaquah Chamber of Commerce.

The pinnacle of the celebration is the Kids ‘n Pets Parade at 11 a.m., where kids will have a chance to decorate their pets, bikes, wagons and scooters and parade through downtown Issaquah on Front Street from Rainier to Alder Place. Locals can sit back and watch the festivities from along Front Street or be part of the Parade.

Locals should register for the parade by 12 p.m., July 3 online at www.issaquahchamber.com/downhome4th or pick up a form and submit it to the Chamber Office and Visitors Information Center on 155 Northwest Gilman Boulevard.

The day-of registration for the parade begins at 10 a.m. and takes place at the Holt Building parking lot at 425 Rainier Boulevard North. The parade begins at 11 a.m. and concludes at 11:30 a.m. at Veterans’ Memorial Field.
