The Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank will hold its 2nd Annual Recipe for Hope breakfast from 7-8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9 at Eastridge Church.
Former King County Executive Ron Sims will be the keynote speaker. Sen. Mark Mullet is the emcee.
The breakfast is free, but a suggested $100 donation is sought to support the food and clothing bank’s mission. Payment is not required prior to attending the event.
Funds raised at the Recipe for Hope Breakfast will support current efforts to provide healthy food options to clients, build services and programs that enrich lives such as the Summer Lunch Program, Tools for Schools, Fruit Tree Gleaning and Financial Literacy Program, and fund future expansion to better serve our community.
The Food Bank borders are the same as the Issaquah School District’ and serves residents in Issaquah, Sammamish, Renton, Preston, Newcastle and Bellevue. The clothing bank, one of the few in the region, serves an even larger population.
Eastridge Church is located at 24205 S.E. Fall City Road, Issaquah. More information about the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank is available at the organization’s website.
