2010 graduate and eight time 3A state swim champion Ethan Hallowell qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials in the 50 free (long course) with a time of 23 and five-hundredths seconds at King County Aquatic Center. That time was good enough to break the Bellevue Club (Hallowell’s home club) record in the event.
Hallowell, now at Stanford University, achieved the record time at the Senior Sectionals and will now have a chance to test himself against the best the nation’s senior men’s swim scene has to offer at the Qwest Center in Omaha, Neb. from June 25 until July 2.
