The Metropolitan King County Council will hold a public hearing on Feb. 7, to take testimony on a proposed ordinance regarding the transfer of property from King County to the city of Issaquah. The parcel provides an essential drainage facility for the city’s Southeast Issaquah Fall City Road and Southeast Black Nugget Road.
The public hearing on the proposal to transfer will be held before the full council at the King County Courthouse, Room 1001 1:30 p.m.
The parcel consists of approximately 1.07 acres located between Southeast Issaquah Fall City Road and Southeast Black Nugget Road. The county acquired the parcel as part of a road improvement project. The city of Issaquah subsequently annexed the area and took ownership of the road right-of-way, but the parcel was not transferred to city ownership at that time.
The parcel provides essential drainage facilities for the city’s Southeast Issaquah Fall City Road and Southeast Black Nugget Road. Issaquah has agreed to take ownership of the parcel and to maintain it as a drainage facility essential to operation of the city streets.
Copies of proposed ordinance 2010-0610 are available upon request from the Clerk of the King County Council, Room 1200, King County Courthouse, 516 Third Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104, telephone 206-296-1020. The ordinance is also available on the Internet.
