High school students harassed online | Issaquah Police Blotter Dec. 17-22

All persons in the police blotter are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Dec. 17

WRONG BOOSTER: Police checked the 200 block of 2nd Avenue Southeast near Southeast Clark Street for a reported driver holding a baby in their lap. The responding officer could not find the driver in question.

WHERE’S THE ‘WARE?: A GPS system was reported stolen from a Ford Taurus parked on the 1800 block of 11th Avenue Northeast, at a total loss of $200.

THEFT: A 38-year-old Des Moines man was arrested for the theft of $487 in merchandise from a business off the 6100 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast.

Dec. 18

TAX SCAM: A Providence Point Drive Southeast resident advised she had received a call from a man who said he was with the Internal Revenue Service. She said she knew this was a scam and told the man she would call police.

FACECREEP: Two female high school students reported receiving inappropriate Facebook messages from someone they did not know. An officer requested screenshots of what was sent to them.

CATALYTIC: A catalytic converter was stolen from a car parked off the 1700 block of Highlands Drive Northeast, at a total loss of $308.

Dec. 19

BURGLARY: A cell phone was reported stolen from an address off the 1600 block of 14th Place Northeast, at a total loss of $800.

DINE AND DASH: A 58-year-old Issaquah woman was arrested for the theft of nearly $190 of food from a business off the 1500 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard.

ENABLER: A 37-year-old Issaquah man was arrested for furnishing liquor to a minor.

Dec. 20

HIT: An officer responded to the Fred Meyer parking lot on East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast, where a man had been hit by a slow moving vehicle. Eastside Fire and Rescue personnel were on the scene and checked the man, who said he was fine.

ASKED AND ANSWERED: An officer was on foot patrol downtown when a 23-year-old Portland, Oregon man approached and asked if he could be checked for warrants. The officer ran his name and found he had one Issaquah police warrant and one felony warrant out of King County. The man was arrested.

Dec. 21

ACCIDENT: An officer responded to a collision on the 18700 block of Southeast Newport Way. A car had stopped in the roadway to turn into a condo complex and was struck from behind by another automobile, causing injury.

GEAR: A 24-year-old Sammamish man was arrested in the Fred Meyer parking lot for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dec. 22

HARASSMENT: A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend had been showing up at her Wildwood Boulevard Southwest home unannounced and driving by the house. An officer advised her to seek a restraining order.
