All suspects in the police blotter are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
July 28
Burglary: Shortly after 8 a.m., police took a report of a burglary to a Northeast Sixth Street garage. The garage door had been pried open and power tools had been taken. There were no suspects, though a red GMC Jimmy was a suspect vehicle.
Aug. 1
Mail theft: At 6:09 p.m.; thefts were reported from a group of street mailboxes on Southeast 18th Place.
Aug. 3
Dirty, dirty crime: At 7:46 a.m., police responded to a report of larceny to a car in a Southeast 25th Place residential driveway. Chrome flower tail light rings had been removed from the car, which was covered in catsup, mustard and cat litter.
Storage burglary: At 12:39 p.m. police assessed a locker that had been burglarized at the Northeast Eighth Street Public Storage facility. Investigator noted the locker may have been entered over an interior wall to a neighboring unit.
That’s just trashy: At 8:20 p.m., an officer responded to Lancaster Way Southeast, where a trash can had reportedly been taken and replaced with a broken can.
Aug. 5
Jewelry theft: At 4:22 p.m., police assessed a forced entry burglary to a 233rd Avenue Northeast residence. Unknown suspects broke out a window to enter the home and stole several pieces of jewelry.
Aug. 6
Fraud: At 10:38 a.m., a resident reported a check written almost a year ago had been used to fraudulently remove nearly $2,000 from a bank account.
Marijuana: At 8:27 p.m., a suspect was arrested for misdemeanor possession of marijuana after being stopped coming out of woods near 210th Place Southeast. The woods are an area known for drug use and juvenile parties.
Aug. 7
Theft ring: At 4:37 p.m., an Issaquah Pine Lake Road resident reported a stolen wedding ring. The victim suspected a soon-to-be ex-spouse or building maintenance staff.
DUI: Responding to a 911 call, at 10:04 p.m., police stopped an Acura sedan traveling into oncoming lanes on 228th Avenue Northeast on a blown-out tire. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence after being found to have blood alcohol content readings more than twice the legal limit.
