Six Eastside Catholic students named Commended Students

Six area students at Eastside Catholic School have been named Commended Students in the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Program.

They are: Emily Garson (Issaquah),  Hanna Kennedy (Issaquah), Mitchell Schmidt (Sammamish), Andrew Sentman (Sammamish), Amy Shaeffer (Issaquah) and Meredith Troy (Sammamish).

Although they will not continue in the 2015 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, Commended Students placed among the top five percent of students who took the 2013 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
