Rock royalty, drummer Chris Slade, to perform at Issaquah Salmon Days Festival

But none of these career highlights will have prepared him for the 2010 Issaquah Salmon Days Festival, at which he will join Magic Bus with special guest vocalist Spike O’Neill for a free AC/DC tribute performance at the Rainier Boulevard Stage, Oct. 3.

There are few musicians in the world who can boast a rock resume as impressive as drummer Chris Slade.

If you’ve heard Tom Jones’ classic “It’s Not Unusual,” then you’ve heard Slade – that’s him on the drums.

He had three Top Ten UK hits with the Manfred Mann’s Earth Band in the 1970s, before teaming up with such rock legends as Gary Numan, David Gilmour, Jimmy Page, and AC/DC.

But none of these career highlights will have prepared him for the 2010 Issaquah Salmon Days Festival, at which he will join Magic Bus with special guest vocalist Spike O’Neill for a free AC/DC tribute performance at the Rainier Boulevard Stage, Oct. 3.
