Wine Walk returns to Downtown Issaquah on Feb. 6

Tickets are now on sale for Issaquah's Fourth Annual Downtown Issaquah Wine Walk Seriesm which will kick off on Feb. 6. The event takes place the first Friday of every month from February through May.

Tickets are now on sale for Issaquah’s Fourth Annual Downtown Issaquah Wine Walk Seriesm which will kick off on Feb. 6. The event takes place the first Friday of every month from February through May.

The walks include live music, art happenings, some snacks and local boutique wines poured in various tasting locations up and down Front Street. Front Street shops and restaurants are open to the general public during Wine Walk and all ages are welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring their own glass for the pourings.

Front Street Wine Walk venues will include ArtByFire Glass Blowing Studio, Illuminate, artEAST Art Center, First Stage Theater, Pelage Spa, Fischer Meat, and So, There.

Wineries wil include Armstrong Cellars, Stomani Cellars, Sol Stone Winery, Sigillo Cellars, Tiger Mountain Winery, Piccola Cellars and Patterson Cellars.

Music will be available at a number of locations.

At Illuminate — The Mini-Redondos: Fred Hopkins and Alan Clarke collectively have been playing popular music on their guitars for almost 91 years, playing everything from The Beatles to Bill Haley.  Clarke plays with The Issaquah Singers and Hopkins has played with one of The Beach Boys and Pat Boone

At Pelage Spa — Like Minds: With more than 50 years of combined experience, Greg Glassman and Ron Peters continue in the tradition of jazz guitar duets.

At artEAST — Travis Harnett Trio: After years of performing solo and acoustic, guitarist Travis Hartnett expanded some of his material into an ensemble format with bassist Bob Congleton and drummer Wayne Porter. The result is a jazzy mix of guitar-driven instrumental tunes.

At The First Stage Theatre — The Dave Card Trio: The trio, Dave Card (piano), Matt Hopper (bass), and Mark Smith (drums), is a modern jazz trio playing a wide variety of old standards and modern classics.

Art happenings, along with wine tasting, will take place at artEast. The gallery represents nearly 100 local artists, many who will be on hand, giving people an opportunity to meet the artists, watch demonstrations and discuss their work and vision in person. There also will be glass-blowing demonstrations.

Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 the night of the event, which will take place rain or shine, and include 10 one-ounce drink tokens. Reservations can be made at www.downtownissaquah.com/wine-walk.

Check in starts at 6 p.m. at the Hailstone Feed store (the historic Shell Station), 232 Front St. People must be 21 to purchase wine tasting tickets.

Maps of tasting locations, plastic wine glass, tokens and wristband will be provided at check in. Bottles of wine from the tastings will be available for purchase at the Hailstone Feed Store.
