Fabric becomes art at Providence Marianwood Gallery

Providence Marianwood and artEAST are co-sponsoring the Vibrant Threads exhibition, which will feature textile works by local artists Anne Anderson, Sharlet Driggs, and Susan Olds. The exhibit, which runs from Aug. 1 through Sept. 30, displays detailed images painted silk and vibrant three-dimensional felted flowers. In addition to providing community interaction for the facility’s residents, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the artwork goes to support programs at Providence Marianwood.
