A minor earthquake hit east of Issaquah early Tuesday morning.

The 2.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Snoqualmie Valley at 3:53 a.m. by the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network, at a depth of more than 20 km.

A magnitude 2.3 earthquake is felt slightly by some people and causes no building damage, according to documents from the U.S. Geological Survey.

Tuesday’s earthquake was preceded by magnitude 0.4 and 4.0 earthquakes north and east of North Bend, respectively, on Saturday. Earthquakes at 4.0 are considered light by the USGS and generally cause noticeable shaking with minimal damage.
