    An initial report of a home invasion robbery in Sammamish turned out to be a drug deal gone bad.

    Samuel Paul Hammitt, 19, and Antonio Felipe McClure, 21, were charged Wednesday with first degree robbery and unlawful possession of a fire arm, after they allegedly robbed seven people, according to the charging papers.

    Police have yet to say why they think two Rainier Valley men targeted a Sammamish couple for a home invasion robbery Oct. 7.
    Two men, ages 19 and 21, were arrested Friday. One was booked without potential for bail. Officers are still pursuing a third suspect.

    Following her friends up some bales of hay, the Girl Scout began to realize she had made a mistake getting in line for the rope swing.
    At first she cried for help, but too embarrassed to climb down, she clung to the rope, flew into a pile of hay – and began to laugh.
    “When do you just see girls swinging on a rope like that?” said Cindy Uribe, leader of a local scout group.
    The rope swing in the hay loft is just one of number of picturesque scenes at Foxhollow Family Farms.

    As the light-rail train swiftly speeds to a hum, Fred Butler steadies himself with a hanging strap. He leans over with a generous smile to interview a man headed to the airport.

    As the train halts at the Mount Baker stop, Butler hops off, scans his transit card and moseys over to the ticket officers for another chat.

    Butler is convinced such a train could roll into Issaquah in 30 years, but his focus is greater than just the city.

    He lived through battles with Issaquah in the mid-’90s, while it closed trails to mountain bikes. Today, through the Issaquah Mountain Bike Task Force, he’s been able to help steer the future of biking in the city.

    Add that the gas station comes with the community’s first grocery store, and the support is clear.

    Several days after police shot down a gunman at Clark Elementary school, the sheriff’s office is still trying to piece together what exactly happened that day.

    Ronald W. Ficker, 51, was shot five times by four Issaquah police officers, after he reportedly walked through south downtown Issaquah baring two rifles, and carrying 952 rounds of ammo.

    Police painted a picture of a disturbed and possibly mentally ill man, who hid behind a berm and fired 11 shots at five officers on the school playground.

    A 51-year-old man was killed in a shoot-out with police after he fired rounds near Issaquah High School.

    At approximately 11:30 a.m. Saturday a number of residents called police when a man left his car on Front Street and began wandering the road with two rifles. The man fired several rounds into the air as he began walking toward Clark Elementary and Issaquah High School.

    Speed cameras have gotten people to slow down their driving, at least according to the company running the cameras.
    Violations decreased by 46 percent near Issaquah High School, when comparing the first and second years the cameras were installed.
