    After four months of looking at an empty cage at the Cougar Mountain Zoo, keepers are celebrating the recent acquirement of three cougar cubs.

    The playful spotted cats made their debut last week. Keepers have planned daily showings until the cage can be modified for the little mountain lions.

    Unbeknownst to them, they’re missing out on a gem that has local foodies lining up.

    They might also overlook Chef Edna Noronha, who graduated top of her class from the nation’s most prestigious culinary school, Culinary Institute of America.

    Darigold plead guilty to federal charges of dumping in the Issaquah Creek, and agreed to pay $60,000 fee to help restore the creek.
    The nation’s fourth largest dairy group already paid a $10,000 fine to the Department of Ecology, the maximum penalty the agency can give.

    For the nine years Gail Givan has lived in the Sunset neighborhood near downtown Issaquah, traffic has always been a mess.
    Like much of the neighborhood, she’s had enough.
    So when America’s largest funeral home chain, Service Corporation International, proposed turning a small church into a funeral home with little parking to speak of, the neighbors overwhelmed city administrators with complaints.

    The new elementary science curriculum for Issaquah has been saved.
    Three months ago, raising half a million dollars for the Issaquah School District’s new science lessons seemed at best a daunting task.
    Wednesday the Issaquah Schools Foundation and PTSA announced they were able to raise $438,000 by its deadline.
