EvergreenHealth launches Community Funded Grant Program

Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply for the one-year $25,000 grant award.

To reflect the commitment to partner with individuals and organizations that share the same mission and values, and bring real and lasting improvements to the community, EvergreenHealth has launched the EvergreenHealth Community Funded Grant Program.

The program is aimed at improving the health and well-being of the community, and local nonprofits are encouraged to apply for the one-year $25,000 grant awards.

“As a community-owned health system, EvergreenHealth serves a special role, providing all residents and families across our growing region with access to high-quality care and service,” said Jeff Tomlin, MD, EvergreenHealth CEO. “The new Community Funded Grant Program furthers EvergreenHealth’s mission of advancing the health of those we serve, providing valuable assistance to local organizations that address vital needs in our community.”

Every year, the healthcare facility invests in levy funds to support a range of programs that are designed to provide quality health care, as well as services and resources to meet the community’s health needs. In 2021, EvergreenHealth invested $5.8 million in levy funds.

For the 2023 calendar year, up to $25,000 per applicant will be awarded to approved programs for the one-year grant period. The awards are intended to serve identified vulnerable and underserved populations, and to address important, documented needs in the community.

Organizations interested in applying for the grant must have a valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, or be a school or government entity. Furthermore, the applicants must fall within the district service area, or provide direct services within the service area which includes Kirkland, Redmond, Bothell, Kenmore, Sammamish, Duvall and Woodinville.

The application period for the EvergreenHealth Community Funded Grant Program opened on July 1, and the deadline will be on August 1. Programs that receive funding for 2023 will be notified by December 1.
