TAJ opening a treat for car lovers

The body repair outfit is now in the capable hands of Joshua Luna and James Guse, two locals with a strong background in the industry and a real passion to make a success of their first business.

TAJ Collision Center has been a key part of the Issaquah automotive scene for almost two decades. This year, however, original owner Mo Shoshahi decided to step away from the business. Anyone who may have wondered what this would mean for TAJ Collision Center need not worry.

The body repair outfit is now in the capable hands of Joshua Luna and James Guse, two locals with a strong background in the industry and a real passion to make a success of their first business.

Luna is a graduate of Renton Technical College, who has done quality work for RS Color, Huling Brothers in Seattle, and most recently as the head technician at Lakeside Collision in Bellevue.

Guse, Jr. started his career after high school, detailing at Murray’s Collision Center in Kent. His career path “collided” with Luna after he rose to the heights of his profession, as the head painter at Lakeside Collision.

They soon realized it was time for them to pursue the dream of owning a shop together.

Now that dream is a reality — the new TAJ Collision is up and running at the same location on Gilman Boulevard.

On Saturday, April 24, they will hold a grand opening, with snacks and drinks, and displays of high-end autos.

For car lovers, the event will be a great chance to check out the center, meet the new owners, talk shop, and get a close look at a number of custom painted bikes and exotic cars.
