Elders share advice for the new year

We asked our residents the following two questions for the new year and here are the responses: They are true “Words of Wisdom from Aegis Residents here at Marymoor.”

First Question: What’s the most important advice you can share for living a happy life in 2016?

Lillian: Don’t take things too seriously and love your family

Carolyn: Be kind to one another! Love your enemies, it scares them!!!

Colette: BE HAPPY

Joanne: Help people who need help

David Round: Wake up every morning

Sam: Always have a smile on your face!

Bert: Try your best

Second Question: Are there any secrets to long life that you can share?

Lillian: Don’t take everything too seriously. Try to be kind but shun those who are very unpleasant, don’t argue with them and look for the best in people

Carolyn: Be kind and don’t eat too many sweets, Eat your vegetables and fruits

Colette: Love one another!

Joanne: Help other people in need

David Round: If you must smoke start when you are over ninety.  I have never smoked and have no plans to start

Sam: Eat wholesome food; get good rest; be kind to everybody

Bert: Be born with good genes.
