No merit to criticism of Restorix

I read with considerable dismay Dr. Hampson’s comments regarding the story about Restorix Health

Aside from having no merit, his comments were puzzling to say the least.  Dr.  Hampson has neither reached out to Dr. Smith or me, nor has he made any inquiries regarding our company, or visited the Restorix Health-Issaquah Center.

The Restorix Research Institute works in conjunction with Restorix Health, which provides advanced wound care and related services. The Restorix Research Institute is dedicated to doing meaningful and accepted research into the clinical uses of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.

All of our studies (four in various stages of preparation) are to be Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved, blinded, randomized and controlled.  All will have the CONSORT statement included in the published research. Our research will stand up to any peer review or scrutiny and in fact will surpass the majority of industry-driven hyperbaric oxygen research, which is not typically randomized and controlled.

Our research studies will never charge patients to participate.  Dr. Hampson’s claim that only large institutions can do credible research is simply untrue.

With respect to comments about the Restorix Foundation, Dr. Hampson has again not bothered to obtain any information from us about its design or mission.

If Dr. Hampson would like to receive more information about Restorix Health, the Restorix Research Institute or the Restorix Foundation, we invite him to contact us. We will be happy to explain our vision and perhaps then he will understand why so many other well-respected physicians and patients have welcomed the Restorix family of companies into the industry and communities we serve.

Dr. Tommy L. Love, Chief Medical Officer, Restorix Research Institute
