State should tax gambling | LETTERS

The Legislature is in a frenzy to impose more fees and taxes.  They can’t impose the tolls on 520 fast enough.

Yet they totally ignore an area that other states have long ago tapped into for revenue – a gambling tax

Any organization like the Indian casinos, that can spend $5 million to defeat a slot machine initiative and over $10 million in the last legislative session, should be able to afford it.  Perhaps I just answered my own question.

Could it be that the Indian casinos have immunity since they gave over $200,000 to Governor Gregoire’s last campaign?  They are getting out of paying tens of millions in taxes.

I hope the rest of us who pay taxes, remember come election time.
