A group of Eastside artists, known as the Sammi 7, will open their latest collection during an opening reception tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. at Up Front Gallery at 48 Front Street N. during this month’s ArtWalk.

The show, which runs at the gallery from Aug. 7 to Aug. 20 features works by ‘The Sammi 7,’ a group of seven artists from the Eastside. Tonight’s opening of “Animal Crackers” will display various pieces using different mediums such as encaustics, metal, fiber, glass, oil, mixed media and photography.
