Contemporary quilt exhibition opens in Issaquah in March

Members of the Contemporary Quilt Art Association will host an exhibition of quilts at University House in Issaquah.

“Threads of Conversation,” which features a wide variety of methods including hand dyeing, machine and hand quilting, embroidery, discharge, appliqué, and painting, opens to the public on March 8, and will run until July 11, at the University House Issaquah retirement community at 22975 SE Black Nugget Road.

An opening reception will be held from 2 – 4 p.m., Saturday, March 13.

This exhibition will inspire you to look at fabric as a medium for design in a completely new light. From abstract to realistic, figurative to geometric, detailed to bold, each piece becomes one part of a visual banquet.
