Don’t forget, this Saturday is Christmas Tree recycling day

Sammamish Boy Scout troops are ready to carry away your discarded Christmas Trees for recycling, as they have done every January for the past 25 years.

Sammamish Boy Scout troops are ready to carry away your discarded Christmas Trees for recycling, as they have done every January for the past 25 years.

The drive is an annual service project for the local troops, and is their primary fundraiser for the year.

This year trees will be picked up on Saturday, Jan. 9, starting at 9 a.m.

Donations from residents are a crucial part of the Scouts ability to provide a quality Scouting program.

All donations are used right here on the Plateau, to fund Scouting programs for six Plateau area troops.

The suggested donation is $15-25 per tree.

In the City of Issaquah, holiday trees can be set out for yard waste collection on your regular collection day, if they are cut to four feet or less. Trees with flocking or decorations will not be collected.
