Each year the Rotary Club of Issaquah provides thousands of dollars in scholarships to help students from local high schools continue their education. In order to maintain this support they need the help of the Issaquah community.

The good news is, Rotary makes it fun to help! What easier way to assist young students than through indulging in some fine local wines?

Issaquah Rotary’s fourth annual “Grape Escape” is set for 6 p.m., Saturday, March 13 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Issaquah.

This annual wine-tasting and community social event not only funds the Rotary scholarships but also brings the community together for exceptional bargains on fine and interesting wines not readily available in local outlets.

On-line registration is now open at www.issaquahrotary.org. Admission is $50 per person in advance; $60 at the door.

This year’s event features favorite varietals of five wineries in the new Lake Chelan viticulture area. An array of creative foods by the Hilton Garden Inn’s outstanding chef will be served.

Guests are eligible to purchase wine with no sales tax at prices at or below retail, and there will be special case pricing.
