Free dental service event in Issaquah

425 Smiles will take place 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 6.

Issaquah’s 425 Dental is hosting a free dental service event for people who can’t afford routine care.

The event, called 425 Smiles, will take place 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 6 in the dental office, 710 NW Juniper St.

The event has no financial or insurance prerequisites, but patients must sign up ahead of time, according to 425 Dental, and will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.

Dental services will include but are not limited to dental exams, X-rays, cleanings and fillings.

This annual event emerged from a partnership between 425 Dental and the University of Wahington School of Dentistry and Pima Medical Institute (PMI) Dental Hygiene Program.

According to a 425 Dental post, “the 425 Dental staff will be assisted by students and faculty of the UW School of Dentistry and PMI Dental Hygiene Program as they assist us in treating as many patients as possible, and the students gain real-world experience for their future as dental professionals.”

The staff, students and faculty hope to assist as many people as possible throughout the day, although they anticipate a high volume of patients: “Please arrive early and be prepared to wait for the highest possibility of being seen,” according to the post.
