Moore Brothers to stage local band showcase next week

Moore Brothers Music, a family-owned music store in Sammamish, is hosting a free outdoor concert of local bands from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 25.

Moore Brothers Music, a family-owned music store in Sammamish, is hosting a free outdoor concert of local bands from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 25.

The concert marks five years since Scott and Troy Moore opened the store in August of 2004.

The concert, which will be held just outside of the shop front at 22820 NE 8th Street, will feature The Shah, If I Were A Gladiator, The Voltz, Heatwarmer, Darian Moghadam Group, Gems, The Sons of the Nile, Ironix, Nearly Naked, and more.

There will also be giveaways throughout the day.

Everyone is encouraged to bring cans of non-perishable food items to receive raffle tickets to win prizes.

All donated food will be delivered to Hopelink in Redmond after the event.

Hopelink is currently in need of kids lunch types of food such as: canned fruits, jams, jellies, and meats, as well as top-ramen, peanut butter, and cereals.

Prizes include items generously donated by: Taylor Guitars, Line 6, Levys Straps, Visual Sound, Cleartone Strings, D?Addario, Skullcandy, Coldstone Creamery, Museum Quality Framing, Columbia Fitness, and more.

Moore Brothers Music is trying to build a strong musical community in Sammamish by providing high quality lessons and instruments, as well as sponsoring numerous musical activities and organizations such as: The Boys and Girls Club Redmond/Sammamish Chapter, The Sammamish Farmers Market Stage, the Sammamish Teen Fest Stage, various local school music programs and performances, and many others.

Moore Brothers Music teaches over 500 private lessons each week in guitar, bass, drums, piano, voice, violin, viola, trumpet, sax, flute, clarinet, mandolin, ukulele, harmonica, and didgeridoo.
