Fit For Hounds, an up and coming band featuring local high school students and recent graduates, is one of four bands that will rock-off at 8 p.m. Friday, April 30, in the final round of the fourth annual Classic Rockathon at the Old Fire House Teen Center in Redmond.

Fit For Hounds’ music is inspired by the dance/rock/punk crossover of The Strokes, Hot Hot Heat, and Thom Yorke, among others.

The band is made up of University of Washington student Bill Doerrfeld, 18, on vocals and synth, and Skyline High School students Alicia Doerrfeld, 16, on guitar, drummer Zach Barokas, 16, and Scott Sherman, 18, on bass.

Fit For Hounds are eagerly awaiting the release of their new EP, which they have been recording with Aaron Bowley of Aaron Bowley Studios.

At the Classic Rockathon semifinals, Fit For Hounds added their spin to synth-pop classics “Take on Me” by A-ha, and “Enjoy the Silence” by Depeche Mode.

The gig is an all ages event. The $6 admission fee benefits educational and recreational programs at the Old Fire House Teen Center.
