With the success of last year’s Shakespeare on the Green, Issaquah Arts Commission and 4Culture have lined up two performances for this year’s event. On July 8 at 7 p.m. the Seattle Shakespeare Company will perform “Othello” on the Greens at the Issaquah Community Center, and on July 29 they will perform “Much Ado About Nothing”. Both shows will be geared toward families, while maintaining the original intent of the plays.

As with the popular Concerts on the Green, the performances are free and the atmosphere is casual. Guests are invited to arrive early and picnic on the lawn.

If the Issaquah dates don’t work for your schedule, you can also catch the performances at Pine Lake Park in Sammamish: “Othello” will be performed at 7 p.m. on July 17, with “Much Ado About Nothing” playing at 7 p.m. on July 24.
