It may have been raining on July 22, but that didn’t stop approximately 150 people from showing up to the East Sammamish Park soccer field to see Eric Hurman and the Thunder Puppies, presented by the Kiwanis Club of Sammamish.

“Eric Herman and the Thunder Puppies have a dedicated following, with a family coming as far as Gig Harbor for the performance,” said Lynne Handlos, Sammamish recreation coordinator.

Handlos said that Hurman’s daughters, Becca and Evie, stole the show once again.

“They even played a new song from their newest album and TLC Montessori summer camp attended in their traditional tie-dye décor,” Handlos said.

The event was part of the Kiwanis KidsFirst! Performance Series, which runs Tuesday afternoons through Aug. 19. All the events are in the Sammamish Commons Plaza and free and open to the public.
