TrailsFest at Rattlesnake Lake this Saturday

With temperatures in the 90s and higher forecast for the weekend, residents might be looking for somewhere to escape the heat. The cool waters of Rattlesnake Lake could be just the place, particularly this Saturday, as the Rattlesnake Lake Recreation Area will host TrailsFest, 2009.

With temperatures in the 90s and higher forecast for the weekend, residents might be looking for somewhere to escape the heat.

The cool waters of Rattlesnake Lake could be just the place, particularly this Saturday, as the Rattlesnake Lake Recreation Area will host TrailsFest, 2009.

Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., TrailsFest will feature a range of activities, like clinics on wilderness first aid, hiking with kids, and backcountry cooking.

Aside from that, it’s just a great excuse to get out and explore this great natural resource.
