Eastside Fire & Rescue will team up with Energizer and Bartell Drugs locations in Sammamish and Issaquah to promote the replacement of batteries in smoke alarms this Saturday as part of Change Your Clock Change Your Battery program. The program coincides with the end of Daylight Savings Time on Sunday.

While supplies last, Bartell’s will be giving away 9-volt batteries (one per household). Bartell’s is also offering discount coupons for additional batteries on that day as well as special sale pricing this week.

The two participating Bartell’s Drugs locations are located in Sammamish (526 228th Ave. NE) and Issaquah (5700 E. Lake Sammamish Pkwy. SE). Firefighters will be on hand to encourage use of the free batteries to

replace those currently in home smoke alarms or carbon monoxide detectors.
