Bellevue College Parent Education to host lecture on toilet training

Bellevue College Parent Education will host community educator Jan Faull from 7-8:30 p.m. March 31 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Bellevue for a lecture on the ins and outs of toilet training.

 

Bellevue College Parent Education will host community educator Jan Faull from 7-8:30 p.m. March 31 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Bellevue for a lecture on the ins and outs of toilet training.

Faull, a former Bellevue College Parent Education instructor and local community educator, is the author of several parenting books including: Mommy, I have to go Potty; Amazing Minds: The Science of Nurturing Your Child’s Developing Mind with Games, Activities and More; Unplugging Power Struggles: Resolving Emotional Battles With Your Kids Ages 2 to 10; and Darn Good Advice Parenting.

Attendees will learn the signs of toilet readiness and the tips and tricks to get the job done. Toilet learning can be very stressful for families and Faull will discuss how to avoid the power struggles parents may face with research-based information. St. Luke’s Lutheran Church is located at 3030 N. Bellevue Way; the lecture will be given in the church’s upper Pearson Hall.

The lecture is free and open to the public, however, childcare will not be provided and organizers ask attendees to find alternative childcare during the event. Parking will be available in the parking lot in front of the St. Luke’s.

Bellevue College’s Parent Education program offers research-based parenting information in its classes for parents and children located in the cities of Snoqualmie, Carnation, Sammamish, Issaquah, Bellevue, Renton and Mercer Island and Online.
